Last night, Larissa Takchi was crowned the youngest person in history to win MasterChef Australia after defeating her worthy opponents, Tessa Boersma and Simon Toohey. 

It was a tight race with Tessa and Larissa tied at round one and Larissa taking the lead by only one point in round two. 

It all came down to round three, where contestants pitted their desserts against each other only to have Larissa's Szechuan Pavlova, Beetroot and Blackberry Sorbet, score 30 points out of 30.

At only 22 years of age, Larissa is now the youngest winner in MasterChef history and now has to decide what she will do with her $250,000 cash prize. 

Since Larissa's big win, news has come to light that all three judges, Matt, Gary and George, will be hanging up their aprons and stepping down as judges for next years competition. This has left many die-hard, MasterChef fans questioning who could possibly replace the MasterChef veterans.
