Here's An Update On The Eungella Dam Road Bushfires!

Things are heating up in Mackay with a high of 34 degrees today. This means bushfire season has arrived and Mackay now has a VERY high chance of fires throughout the region. 

To kick things off, Eungella Dam Road was hit with a nasty fire yesterday leaving fire crews battling the blaze until midnight last night. 

Thanks to two massive Royal Fire Service teams, the 300 hectare fire has finally dwindled down to a smaller, controlled blaze with the teams working hard to keep it this way! 

This morning, Jay and Dave got in touch with Andrew Houley from the Royal Fire Service to get the latest update on the blaze.
