The Hot Breakfast’s intrepid panel operator Rosie Walton turned news breaker this morning, sharing with us news of a potential worldwide shortage that will affect Guinness cans.

“I put up a photo of my can [of Guinness] as I was watching the Dan Andrews press conference on Sunday, and somebody from Lion Nathan (the company that that distributes Guinness in Australia) replied to me,” Rosie said.
“[They] said ‘you might want to buy up as much as you can, because there will be a stock shortage for the next six months, not because of import though’.
“It’s because you know that little widgety thing in the can that makes it effervescent?
“There is a worldwide shortage.”
